Shareholder Disputes

How can they be resolved?

Private Companies and LLP's with shareholders or members in dispute are at greater risk of failure due to distraction of owners and managers from the business. Disputes often arise through:

  • Family disputes or succession issues
  • Personal animosity
  • Disagreements about Strategy
  • Dividends or lack of them
  • Threats of insolvency

  • A shareholders' agreement that sets out how disputes are to be resolved before they occur
